We participate in sled dog racing with our dogs. I started with sprint distances, which are typically around 4–20 km. However, I now focus primarily on mid-distance (30-70km / day) and long-distance races (100-200km). These competitions truly showcase the dogs’ strength, speed, and teamwork. For us, races are not only exciting challenges but also opportunities to connect with other enthusiasts and learn new things!
Preparing for a competition requires a lot of training, planning, and careful attention to the dogs’ well-being. We prioritize their health and provide individualized training to ensure they can perform at their best during races. Each dog is unique, and the success of the team relies on strong trust and seamless cooperation between the dogs and the musher.
For us, competitions are more than just wins and rankings – they are part of the journey we share with our dogs. We take great pride in our sled dog team and are happy to share this passion with our followers and clients.
